I have had some debate with a few friends on whether or not one person can make a difference in our world.  Can one person affect a movement, policy, power, influence and so….my answer is ABSOLUTELY!!!

There would not be any movements or call to change if the notion was not brought to fruition by whomever had that thought.  Imagine if Harriet Tubman (born Araminta Harriet Ross) had not acted on her desire to help others escape slavery.  What if Martin Luther King Jr. not acted on his desire for equality for all people?  Imagine all the loss of hope and love had Mother Teresa not decided to give herself to God and spreading love.  Ingrid Newkirk acted on her desire to defend animals and created PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) – she acted because she wanted to be the voice for animals who could not speak but only cry out when tortured or experimented on.

Yes – we can all make a difference and we can have our voices be heard.  When our voices are heard, others become aware and awareness is a powerful voice!  What would our world be like without the thousands of individuals who ignited the spark for positive change in our world?  Imagine a world without Nelson Mandela, Dalai Lama, Al Gore, David Suziki, Princess Diana, Rosa Parks, Oprah Winfrey, Wyclef Jean, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey, Bob Geldoff, Warren Buffett, Louise L. Hay, Deepak Chopra and so many others who have given and continue to contribute to a more positive and loving world.

All it takes is one idea and one voice…..your voice will be heard and then your voice and idea will become action.  We must all ensure that our voices are heard to stop all the injustice in this world!  I don’t believe the pessimists when they say “you can’t stop all the injustice and problems in the world”.  We may not be able to stop all, but that is not going to stop me from trying!

I am certainly going to try everything in my power to make a difference with my voice and my blog.  If I ignite a spark in someone by any of my blog posts – than I made a difference!  I want to use my voice (and words) and give information to people who otherwise would not know about something – I want them to empower themselves to act for their own greater good and wellness!  When we join our voices and our singular ideas – collectively we can all make a positive changes in our world!

Go ahead – what idea do you have to create a better and more positive tomorrow?
